The best way to support animal rights and environmental stewardship is to eliminate or reduce your reliance upon the exploitation of animals. However, if you’re looking for even more ways to help, we’ve posted a few suggestions below.

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine: Sign petitions, volunteer, and/or donate to help promote a plant-based diet and end the use of animals in research. Currently, PCRM is running a petition to end the use of animals in the surgery residence program at the U of A!

"Our staff of physicians, dietitians, and scientists is working with policymakers, industry, the medical community, the media, and the public to create a better future for people and animals."

Switch4Good: Tell the USDA that dairy isn’t a health food!
“The US Dietary Guidelines are currently under revision, and we need your help to send a clear message: dairy isn’t healthy, and it’s disproportionately affecting communities of color who suffer from higher levels of lactose intolerance. Join us in standing up for justice by demanding dairy be removed as a food group.”

UPDATE: The petition is now closed, but Switch4Good is still a great organization and resource to look into!

PETA Action Center: Lots of quick and easy ways to make your voice heard!
“Animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.”

Vegan Outreach Campaigns: Add your voice in asking restaurants to offer more plant-based options!

"The three main driving forces for most people’s food choices are convenience, taste, and price. By increasing the availability of vegan options—including affordable options in low-income areas—more people will continue to switch to a diet that is kinder for animals, better for our planet, and healthier for our bodies."
